Welcome to Brighton Marine Surveys. My name’s Aidan Tuckett and I’m a qualified marine surveyor. I’m an Accredited Member of the Yacht Designers and Surveyors Association (YDSA) and I carry out yacht and boat surveys throughout SE England. I’ve worked in the boat building and fishing industries since the late 70’s, first as a boatbuilder and designer, then with fishing communities in developing countries - and since then through restoring classic sailing yachts. I carry out pre-purchase and insurance surveys on GRP, wood and steel sailing yachts and power boats. I also carry out coding surveys of small commercial vessels for the Maritime and Coastguard Agency. I deal with boats ranging from 20' power cruisers and sailing yachts to 90' iron sailing barges. I cover the Thames, Dover and Wight coasts and frequently travel to European destinations. I will provide you with an objective marine survey about the condition of a boat in a clear, straightforward format that will give you the peace of mind to make your purchase decision. I carry full professional indemnity and public liability insurance.
