Mobile demonstrations of the history and health of the humble herring, with the Amazing Travelling Kipperhouse and smoking showman Mike Smylie aka the Kipperman.

Mike makes regular appearances at the Beale Park Boat Show in June, Sea, Salts & Sail at Mousehole in July, Shambala festival (Northants) in August and Clovelly in November among others.

Kipperland is not only an educational exhibit – Mike smokes his herrings in the traditional cold smoking process. The resulting kippers are a taste sensation and completely different to ones you find in the shops; he sells them on site.
