Barges in the Pool of London
Nine Thames Sailing barges gathered to sail through Tower Bridge and into the Pool of London, in an event being called the Hit Parade.
Seeing this many barges together upriver is quite rare – though once they would have been a common sight, with thousands registered to the London River and around the ports of its estuary. More on this and other news in the current issue of Classic Sailor.
