Chartering to the Cannes Film Festival

The 72nd annual Cannes Film Festival is due to be held from 14 to 25 May 2019.  And one of the best ways to experience the glitz of the star-studded ten day party is from the sea.

From the first festival in 1946, when the French actress Michele Morgan posed in her bathing suit against a boat on the beach, stars have been photographed on a whole range of yachts.

The coolest of course are the classics, and classic-charters.com run by father and son team Nick and Dominic Meredith Hardy have a beauty on their books. Conquest, a luxury 98ft (30m) nine-berth motoryacht, built for the British comic film actor Norman Wisdom in 1966, has room for a 50 guest party on board.

With a maximum speed of 13 knots and a range of 1,000 nautical miles she’s the perfect way to explore the area around the Cote D’Azur.

She carries a crew of four and has Air Conditioning, stabilisers when underway, and WiFi connection on board, yet still maintains an ageless grace with her classic lines and colour schemes.

What a way to travel to a festival and park up next to the stars!

Charter prices are up to €40,000 p/w in the high season.
