KSSS, the Royal Swedish Yacht Club, will host the seventh edition of the Baltic Classic Masters Cup at Sandhamn, August 10-13, 2016 as part of Sandhamnsregattan Classic.
Sandhamn is one of Sweden’s best yacht-racing arenas and KSSS arranges both course yacht-racing and ocean racing at Sandhamn.
Sandön is a wonderful island, full of charm, in the archipelago and in the harbour of Sandhamn there are often many boats belonging to both tourists and racing teams.
The idea behind Baltic Classic Masters is to create a venue where classic yacht sailors and owners from different countries get together and have a good time, show off their beautiful yachts, form friendships across borders and test their racing skills in different courses and conditions.
Sail Yacht Society of Sweden is co-hosting the event this year and will be running a large part of the social program.
The Baltic Classic Master Cup trophy is over hundred years old and was set up in 2010 by GL Watson, the world’s oldest yacht design studio, as a tribute to Scandinavian yacht designers and classic yacht owners.
