The Nantucket Regatta dates back to the 1930 when it was first established, but significantly restructured in 2016 and now part of the Nantucket Race Week program. The regatta is open to classic wooden boats over 24’ and is part of the famed North American Panerai Classic Yachts Challenge Series. The two-day event offers sailors multiple races each day and a chance to take advantage of the perfect Nantucket Sound sailing conditions. The Nantucket Regatta and Nantucket Race Week helps support Nantucket Community Sailing and its mission of getting the community of Nantucket out on the water.
The Opera House Cup Regatta August 18, was the first all-wooden, single-hulled classic boat regatta on the East Coast, and attracts some of the finest sailboats in the world.
