This year’s festival will again revive the burgh’s historic market ‘Anster Fair’ with food and craft stalls from local traders. There will also be a range of live music and dance events throughout the 3 days as well as children’s events. This year’s festival will be hosting the Dunedin International Folk Dance Festival which will be held on the Friday afternoon with dance teams from across Europe performing in traditional costume.

Highlights

  • Anster Fair – 3 days of food and craft stalls from local businesses and traders in the folly marquee, plus live music, street theatre, Viking re-enactment, and children’s activities.

  • Anstruther Muster – A gathering of visiting boats from all around the Forth and elsewhere on the East Coast of Scotland.

  • Feis Anster – 3 days of traditional music, dance and song in the music marquee and Fisheries Museum.

  • Photographic Competition & Exhibition – Reflecting the working and leisure aspects of the harbour, and influence of weather and light. Winning entries will be on display in the Lower Town Hall

 

Several boats are open to the public and classic craft are encouraged with a trophy being given to the best one. See more at:
