The award-winning MyState Australian Wooden Boat Festival is the southern hemisphere’s premier Classics event. Celebrating the long history of maritime traditions in Australia with a 4-day festival in Hobart, Tasmania, an exciting celebration of Australia’s rich maritime culture and one of the world’s most anticipated maritime events.
Held across Hobart’s vibrant and bustling waterfront, the festival brings together the largest and most beautiful collection of wooden boats in the southern hemisphere. From its humble beginnings in 1994, it has grown to become the most significant event of its kind in Australia.
Along with the exhibition of these beautiful boats, the festival delivers a lively combination of incredible local food, live entertainment, music, demonstrations and displays. Don’t miss the Maritime Marketplace at Princes Wharf No. 1, the exciting Children’s Circus School at Parliament House Lawns, the Tasmanian Fishing Industry display, the International Wooden Symposium, the Shipwrights Village and of course the wonderful display of classic and modern wooden boats across the waterfront.
