Things that can really fascinate and inspire us can only be those that last longer than a passing trend. Things that you have to look out for. The Beken and Rosenfeld families for example created over the course of generations the best in yachting photography of their times. Beken from the little village of Cowes on the Isle of Wight became a brand name as Beken of Cowes, just as the Rosenfelds from New York did. Morris, the senior, and his son Stanley captured the best pictures of the finest yachts on the other side of the Atlantic in the course of more than 100 years. In the end, they left Mystic Seaport more than one million outstanding images. We present the best photographs of both families until the end of April 2018 in a major exhibition at the Robbe & Berking Yachting Heritage Centre in Flensburg, N Germany.

The mission of the Yachting Heritage Centre is to preserve the tradition of classic yacht sailing and make the history and beauty of classic yachts accessible to the public.
