12th to 19th, June 2020
2020 has been designated the ‘Year of Scotland’s Coasts and Waters’
In the heyday of Classic Yacht Racing, Scotland produced some of the most respected designers of the time, such as Boyd, Fife, Mylne and Watson. The Firth of Clyde was a pre-eminent venue that inspired them to create their iconic yachts.
To honour this heritage during the ‘Year of Scotland’s Coasts and Waters’,
we extend an invitation to all Classic Yachts, their owners and crews to
recreate and celebrate that golden, age amongst our superb yachting waters and scenery.
Our dates have been chosen in association with Royal Cork Yacht Club
to complement their 300th Anniversary celebrations, Cork300,
scheduled for July 2020.
We are planning a variety of racing and activities on the water to suit all our guests.
Championship racing will be available for one-designs, metre classes and J Class, with handicap and large yachts on traditional courses such as the well known King’s Course.
Classic yachts not wishing to race and period motor boats are invited to partake in the activities adding to the ambience of the event.
Our famous Scottish hospitality will deliver a lively program of social events throughout the week.
Notice of Race and Entry Forms will follow in early summer 2019.
