Join us at Hull Marina on 29th September 2018 for a free open day with useful boating information, historic boats and folk music.

You are welcome to watch HMS Pickle lead the day’s flotilla comprising of up 40 yachts and cruisers from the marina, the RNLI, Humber Rescue and the new police rib.

A great day out to be had by all, perhaps join us for drinks afterwards in the historic Whittington and Cat Pub – splice the mainbrace!

Update: For those participating in the Hull Marina open day flotilla, please note a meeting will be held in the Whittington and Cat (HU1 2SA), adjacent to the marina on the night of Friday 28th September. Starting at 1900-1930 hours.
The first item on the agenda will be a film show showing a trailer and outtakes for the soon to be released big screen feature film 🎥 ‘The Last Trip’ a comedy about Trawlermen a first ever showing of this preview.
Soon after, the flotilla registration will commence with the notice to mariners and advisory notes. Sailing journalist Tom Cunliffe will be present for this evening’s meeting.
Saturday 29th – Departing Hull Marina at 0830, with HMS Pickle leading the flotilla of up to 45 vessels. Heading to spurn point on a predesignated course and working with Humber Rescue, RNLI Humber, Northern divers, Matthew marine, BWML. Tom Cunliffe will be onboard HMS Pickle alongside a camera crew.
Key personnel on board will be representatives from ABP and BWML Manager David Parkinson. This event promises to be a great day for all involved, finishing off with a buffet at the Whittington and Cat, as well as a presentation from Tom Cunliffe.
