Mersea Week is an extremely popular sailing regatta organised jointly by West Mersea Yacht Club and the Dabchicks sailing club on Mersea Island in Essex.

With an organising committee that has many years of experience and expertise in race management, the event is steadily increasing in popularity. Last year there was a record entry of nearly 200 vessels, coming from many different UK clubs, travelling far and wide to take part. The boats ranged from dinghies and ancient fishing smacks, to classic historic sailing craft, Sonatas cruisers and open fishing boats, with appropriate courses for all.
