Open to small boats as well as larger gaff (or gunter or lug-rigged) vessels, this rally amid the picturesque scenery of the upper Dart is now in its third year.
Organisers say: “Please don’t think your boat is too old, too new, too small, too large or in some other way unsuitable. There’s deep water visitors’ buoys for larger gaffers.
“It is planned there will be a race and sail past on Saturday as part of the Dittisham Regatta, followed by an exploration of the upper reaches of the River Dart on Sunday. Camping is on the Hoe at Dittisham next to the sailing club. Dittisham Sailing Club look after us over the weekend and provide a fantastic meal on the Saturday night.”
The cost of the Rally is £50/£45 for places booked until the closing date of 1 August.
