South West Gaffers Festival of Sail

The popularity of the Annual Start Bay Rally and Race has diminished over the last years so this year it was decided to move the main OGA event to Plymouth Yachthaven which is more central location along our coastline and where a considerable number of boats are berthed.

We have renamed it South West Gaffers Festival of Sail.  The racing and social side of the event will be enhanced in the hope of attracting more boats. It is hoped trailer sailor boats will come along as well using the adjacent facilities at the Mountbatten Sailing Centre. Plymouth Sound presents an excellent theatre for racing.
