In the summer of 2016 we packed our things and took the cross channel ferry to attend the massive festival at Brest, where so many classic sailors go for the four-yearly jamboree. With Mike Smylie we coordinated the British Village with craftsmanship on show and shantymen a-singin’ (occasionally) plus the welcome racket of the Falmouth Marine band.
