From Portsmouth we have the good news that the heritage maritime sites are reopening on Monday August 24.  “We are delighted to announce that we will be reopening our sites in Portsmouth and Gosport next week. This follows on from the hugely successful reopening of Yeovilton last week, with Hartlepool all set to re-open in September,” the National Museum of the Royal Navy says. “We can’t wait to welcome everyone back to share our incredible stories.
“When you decide to return to our sites, your safety and enjoyment will be of the utmost importance to us. This is why we are introducing some additional safety measures, so our sites might look a little different initially, but don’t worry you will still receive the same world-class welcome that you are used to.
“In order to help manage our sites safely we will be asking all visitors including annual ticket holders and members to pre-book their tickets online as this ensures that we can manage capacities and that you will feel comfortable on site. Tickets for all of our sites that are reopening are now on sale.”  (tickets-and-offers )
The NMRN’s missive continues: “Just like before, all of our tickets will offer 12 months access to a particular site, this means that you can revisit time and time again for no extra cost. For anyone who has previously purchased one of our annual passes, you are able to extended these so you won’t miss out on exploring your favourite site. More information on our ticket extension policy and safety measures is available via our website.”
