This was the first multitool with integral locking pliers, which effectively work like molegrips, allowing you to clamp up to a 1 in (25mm) diameter pipe, or nut.
It takes a while for the function to become natural but once mastered you can fold and unfold it with one hand. The adjustment screw on the plier jaws has a good feel too.
It comes with a very sharp ropecutter blade, two flathead and a Phillips screwriver, file, wirestripper and a useful lanyard loop. The rounded handles feel good in the hand too and you can exert a lot of pressure without them cutting in. Useful for foredeck or anyone working aloft. We’ve used one for about eight years and it’s in great condition. They have a 25 year guarantee!
