Simon Bryan

Simon Bryan CMM  “I am currently the IGY Marinas Regional Director (Europe). This role sees me responsible for identifying and establishing new marinas in Europe that will be part of the IGY brand. I am currently focused on Porto Cervo Marina, Sardinia, which is the latest edition to the IGY network.  As such, I am responsible for implementing IGY operating processes, brand standards and high level of customer services.

“I also continue to be involved in the development of the marina in Sete, the south of France and other Mediterranean projects. Having successfully achieved CMM accreditation, I feel well placed to fulfil this role as it has given me an opportunity to be part of a network of fellow professionals that offers countless benefits.”

Robert PartonRobert Parton CMM, together with his wife Andrea, opened Church Minshull Aqueduct Marina in 2009 as a new purpose built, premier inland haven in Cheshire. Since opening the business has continued to develop and grow and has now become a one stop solution for all things narrowboating. Church Minshull Aqueduct won Inland Marina of the year in 2017 and 2018.

Over the last few years, Robert has taken a more active role in the wider marine sector, either attending formal meetings and training or equally enjoying social events with British Marine within the inland boating and boat building sectors as well as The Yacht Harbour association. He is currently Chairman of the British Marine Midlands regional committee.

Robert said: “Having previously enjoyed attending the Advanced Marina Management course, I increasingly saw the CMM accreditation as an award of real value. I am delighted to be awarded the CMM and look forward to benefiting from the network.”

Suzanne Bell

Suzanne Bell CMM joined Rhu Marina in 2006 as the Marina Administrator but her natural business and marketing sense found their application as she progressively took over general management of the Marina and in 2012. Originally from a financial services background, Suzanne now manages marina operation on a day to day basis, ensuring excellent customer service, driving the business forward, promotion and marketing.

Suzanne says: “I am very proud to be awarded my CMM by the GMI, and it is a great pleasure to become a part of a very special group of industry professionals.”

Mike TaitMike Tait CMM – “Having subscribed to the Intermediate and Advanced Marina Management training process in the course of the last six years and now achieving CMM status, I can honestly say I feel proud and a little humbled to be ‘a junior member’ of such a group of experienced professionals. The journey to date has been nothing other than fascinating and hugely rewarding. The team work amongst immediate colleagues, the formation of friendships and the creation of networks within this great industry keeps getting me up in the morning to go to work with  a healthy spring in my step!”
