Cate Blanchett

Our quay people for this month’s issue features the actor Cate Blanchett, who is set to star in a film of the story of the Saxon burial ship excavations at Sutton Hoo in the 1930s.

We have news of the two year apprentices scheme for National Historic Ships, a report from the Clovelly Herring Festival and the Russians’ plan to build a sailing replica of the famous British Tea Clipper Cutty Sark. There’s a victory down in Falmouth over plans for a new marina and Sir Robin Knox Johnston kicks off his slippers to go down to the sea again…
