Inspired by the engraving styles of 1950s countryside books David embarked on an engraving career after time spent as a graphic designer. Using blocks of boxwood felled in West Sussex after the 1987 storms he often uses branch sections cut straight through that retain their rounded shape. As well as being a master of this engraving technique he has also managed the most difficult of tasks in engraving; conveying the movement and dynamics of the sea or the turn of a bird in flight. He prints them himself on a small vintage press used for proofing letterpress type. He recently exhibited in this year’s Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.

Prices are around £150 for a framed engraving and sales are made by contacting him via the website. www.davidpeduzzi.co.uk
