LONG TERM REVIEW: Once you buy a pair of these you might want to get another! They are super comfy with the Goretex liner associated with Dubarry’s famous sailing boots – so your feet stay dry and warm; they are also fully waterproof. We’ve sailed in a pair of these for around seven years, including bashing them for three weeks straight on a transatlantic passage; at one point they looked so salt-blown we thought they were through. But after a quick wash in fresh water they were as good as new. 
Trouble is, they feel so you want to wear them to the office… which at £199 a pair is probably overdoing it. Probably the best shoe we’ve tried in 20 years of reviewing sailing gear.
