The Hamburg Skipper is a traditional woollen skipper’s cap made from natural materials by specialist Sterkowski. We’ve used one of these for more than ten years and it’s worn well. The roan leather head band is super comfy, the viscose lining stays in place and the wool has kept its nap. It’s a little bit fancy – with an oak leaf embroidered band and a little rope detail though this does not expand to become a chin strap… Not that you’d need one – the whole point of this style of cap is that it does not come off in a hatful of wind.
